Environmental Assessment Prosperity Mine Project

Environment Quote

In Amerika today you can murder land for private profit. You can leave the corpse for all to see, and nobody calls the cops.

~ Paul Brooks, The Pursuit of Wilderness, 1971

We will post the information about the new environmental assessment as soon as the new panel is choosen.

The federal environmental assessment project registry for Prosperity (first environmental assessment):

http://www.ceaa.gc.ca/050/details-eng.cfm?cear_id=44811

and the provincial counterpart:

http://a100.gov.bc.ca/appsdata/epic/html/deploy/epic_project_home_6.html

Both sites contain heaps of information on the project, project history, the review process and public participation.

Concerned public are encouraged to write the registries as well, to express their concerns and opinions, and their correspondence will be posted.
You can read the letters that were written at:
http://www.ceaa.gc.ca/050/05/documents-eng.cfm?CEAR_ID=44811&categoryID=7 (federal registry)
http://a100.gov.bc.ca/appsdata/epic/html/deploy/epic_project_doc_list_6_r_pub.html (provincial registry)

I would like to mention that the whole environmental assessment process for this project is highly questionable since the panel does neither include the affected First Nations nor independent groups.
